inDuo is a Copenhagen based performance-duo for flute and soprano – one of the only established flute and soprano ensembles in the world.
The vision is to renew the traditional concept of performing classical chamber music. The music is performed from memory and through choreographed and improvisational movements, inDuo want to engage the audience by interpreting not only the notes, but what is between the notes.
In recent years, inDuo has been on tour in Scotland and has performed at several chamber music festivals in Denmark. In the summer of 2014 they also performed as a part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
inDuo has participated in the Danish Broadcasting Corporation Chamber Music Competition in 2011 and 2014, and reached the semifinals both times. At the competition in 2014, inDuo also won the Special Prize of the Jury ”Best performance of a new piece by a living, Danish composer”, by the Danish jazzsaxophonist and composer, Søren Siegumfeldt. The piece was commissioned by and dedicated to inDuo.
